Faith Formation

Faith Formation Committee

Our Parish provides opportunities for faith formations to all members from the youngest to the oldest, as well as those seeking to learn about the Catholic Church.  Children four years through eighth grade receive religious instruction from Religious Education Programs or Christ the King School.  In addition, we have a Youth Ministry Program for grades 9-12.  We offer many classes, series, and speakers to adults through our Faith Formation office.

This committee partners with Christ the King School to ensure continuity and consistency in all instructions.

Volunteers must be VIRTUS trained and updated monthly.

Led by the Director of Faith Formation, the office provides faith formation opportunities for all parishioners, preschool through adult.  All classes for children and youth follow Diocesan requirements.  All religious education teachers (catechists) are certified in VIRTUS and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Participation in this sequential learning program provides a firm foundation for lifelong learning about and practice of the Catholic Faith.  In addition to age-appropriate sequential learning, immediate preparation for the reception of the Sacraments of the Eucharist, Confirmation, and Reconciliation is presented through classes, workshops, retreats and service opportunities.  Adults are encouraged to participate in life-long learning!

Many opportunities are offered annually and have recently included the Catholicism Project.   In addition, Advent and Lenten series are an annual offering.  Registration for all classes is required.  Forms are available online or through the Faith Formation Office.
